Play Date

What's new around the Miller House.... Well, we had our master bath shower gutted and redone. It was SO small and there was water damage, so we decided to hire a contractor to come out and expand the shower a little and update it. It looks SO much better! I'll have to take pictures of the final product and post a before and after picture. Now we have to redo the entire bathroom because our shower is very 2010, but the rest of the bathroom is still 1980! :)

We've just been going like crazy lately. Elizabeth is growing so fast. I can't believe she'll be 2 in less than a month. Where has the time gone. She's talking like crazy, loves to sing, draw, color, watch Elmo, take baths, play outside, play with the dogs...really she's just a normal 2 year old. We are told almost every day that we should put her in commercials or something...when she's not in one of her many terrible two episodes, she's the sweetest and friendliest little girl. I think it's the curls that really get everyone. She's got so many little ringlets...we're always told that she looks like Shirley Temple. Guess it's a good thing her middle name is Sue...she gets Curly Sue a lot too! Anyways...just wanted to write a little about her and say that she's just growing so fast and even though she likes to try to test us...a lot...she's such a blessing and we love every single minute we get to spend with her. Oh...one more thing...the past month or so, she's been getting up in the middle of the night and coming to our room. I don't know what happened to make her start this, but it's getting old. She'll have a bad night, then a few good nights, so it's not too horrible. We've started putting up a gate before she gets to our room and most of the time I can hear her open her door and go to the gate, then turn around and go back to bed. But, sometimes she will stand at the gate and cry...REALLY LOUD! So, we'll wait to see if she goes back to bed. If not, we have to get up and walk her back to her room and put her back in bed...over and over and over, until she stays. It's getting old, so I hope this phases is over quick!

So, I can't do a blog post without a few pictures. Last week, Troy and I watched our friends two kids so they could go out to dinner one night after work. Elizabeth had a great time playing with Samantha and Logan. Samantha turned 2 in September, Ellie will turn 2 next month, and Logan turned 1 at the end of December...so they are all pretty close in age.

Sam and Ellie

Let's take a drink break

Ellie and Logan playing under a tent...they had a BLAST playing in this thing.

Sam liked to climb into Ellie's bed and pretend like she's going to sleep.
She hasn't tried to jump out of her crib yet, so she hasn't switched to a toddler bed.
Her lucky parents!
