Another Project

Saturday morning we decided to tear the carpet out of our hallway and see what's underneath. We had heard that she put particle board on top of painted concrete, then the carpet. GEEZ!!! It was true. The previous owner had this nice gold leaf boarder even painted on the concrete. She was a drama teacher at the high school, so apparently she tried all kinds of things in this house. I forgot to take pictures of Troy tearing out the carpet and particle board, but here are the after pictures. All those Xs are the remainder of the liquid nail she used to put the board down...ugh! So, now that part of the house is blocked off to Elizabeth until we figure out if we're going to put down tile or laminate. We're going to redo the laminate in the living area, and probably put it in our room as well, so we're not 100% sure what we'll do in the hall yet.
