Florida Trip

We took a short trip to Florida to visit Troy's family at the end of June.  We went because Troy's Dad turned 60 on 6/22, so we had to be there to celebrate!!  We left late on Wednesday night, 6/20, and arrived in Pensacola Beach, FL around 11 am on Thursday.  We stayed the day at the beach, and spent the night at a hotel there.  Then got up early Friday morning and made it to his dad's house around 2 pm.  On Friday, we grilled out and celebrated the big 6-0! On Saturday we got up and spent the day at Animal Kingdom.  On Sunday, we went to church.  I have to say that Mike wanted all of us (including kids) to sit in the pew , but I was really anxious about it.  And, to my delight, all the kids behaved the ENTIRE time and we were all able to sit there through the entire service.  We definitely had angles looking over us!!  Then that afternoon, we went to Troy's Aunts house for more celebrating.  On Monday we were at the house most of the day and went to a nice dinner.  We left on Tuesday morning and stayed overnight in Daphne, AL and got back home on Wednesday evening.  It was way too short, but we really wanted to be there!  We would have stayed longer, but Troy had to fly out to VA for work on Thursday morning.  Of course, I have a lot of pictures from the trip, so here we go!

Ellie kept telling me that she wanted a kid coke and a 

straw at Poppi's house.  She talked about this for months!

I don't know why, but the only thing we can think of is

that he drinks his diet DP in a can with a straw,

so maybe she wanted to be like him.  :)
